Privacy and data handling

Your learning material is not our product.

Claryvia is designed around deliberate actions. It does not continuously watch your screen, listen in the background, or sell your learning content or personal information.

Effective 10 August 2026

01 - On request

Capture begins only when you act.

On Windows, screen capture begins when you choose an action or use the shortcut. On Android, you choose the document or public URL used for a request.

02 - Local by default

Original files and saved work stay with you.

Attached files, saved lessons, voice recordings, and the optional Local Visual Pack are stored and managed on the device that created them.

03 - Not for sale

Your learning data is not a commercial product.

Claryvia does not sell your personal information or learning content, and it does not use your material to train its own public model.

The detail

What happens when you ask Claryvia

Claryvia operates only after a learner-initiated action. The app prepares the relevant request context, sends it to the configured service only where a cloud capability is needed, and returns the result to your device.

  1. You choose an explanation, a Voice Classroom lesson, a study tool, or a selected visual request.
  2. Claryvia uses the active screen context, selected material, or locally generated extract relevant to that request.
  3. Where cloud AI is enabled, the relevant request context is sent to the configured AI inference provider to generate the requested response.
  4. Voice audio is transmitted only during a Voice Classroom session you start. The app does not maintain continuous background audio recording.
  5. Saved lessons and recordings remain in your local Claryvia storage unless you explicitly export or share them.

Keep sensitive information out of requests. Do not submit passwords, payment-card details, private keys, confidential credentials, or material you do not have permission to share.

What we store and what we do not

Account and service information

  • Account email and verification data
  • Plan, billing tokens, invoices, and payment receipts
  • Secure device connection identifiers
  • Usage counters needed to apply plan limits

Not centrally stored as an archive

  • Raw screenshots or continuous screen recordings
  • Full private document archives
  • Raw payment-card numbers, which are handled by Stripe
  • Continuous background audio recordings

Operational metrics and reliability

We may collect limited service information such as error status, latency, failure rates, and diagnostic identifiers. This helps us identify crashes, investigate problems, and maintain a reliable service without reconstructing a learner's original content.

Infrastructure and service providers

Claryvia relies on selected third parties to operate the service: hosting and database infrastructure, transactional email, payment processing, and configured AI inference providers. They process only the information required to provide their part of the service, subject to the applicable terms and safeguards.

  • Hosting and databases: account, service, and operational data.
  • AI inference providers: relevant context for the cloud capability you explicitly request.
  • Stripe: payment processing and receipts. Claryvia does not receive raw payment-card numbers.
  • Transactional email: account verification and essential service messages.

Reporting AI-generated content

If you choose Report an issue with this answer or Report an issue with this lesson, Claryvia sends the question and the AI-generated answer or lesson transcript you choose to report so our team can review it. The report does not include your original attachment, screen capture, local library, or recording unless that content was already part of the generated answer or transcript.

Retention, device access, and your choices

You can manage connected devices from your account, disconnect a device you no longer use, and contact us to request account deletion or an export of account metadata. Removing the app from a device may remove local material and saved work according to the uninstall choices and operating-system behaviour on that device.

For privacy, data protection, or account questions, contact contact@claryvia.com.

Need a clear answer?

Ask us about the data flow before you decide whether Claryvia is right for you.

We can answer practical questions about account data, connected devices, local files, and supported service workflows.
